English Oak wood dining chair and desk chair with seat upholstered in Isle of Bute Wool. This lightweight and extremely comfy chair is perfect for tucking under the dining table. It’s medium height hand carved back rest offers comfortable support without taking too much visual space in the room. The quarter sawn Oak used is the highest quality wood available in the U.K which provides supreme stability that will last many generations to come.

The seat is made slightly wider and deeper than standard chair dimensions to allow comfort for a broad range of users.

The sturdy but lightweight design is inspired by my love of architecture and clean lines. The rounded edges at the front are all made by hand with a rasp and are a delight to touch. The back rest also being finished by hand tools lightly undulates to the touch. I wanted to show with this piece that something can be sleek and modern whilst also being made by hand tools.

  • Each piece is protected using a hard wax oil that is carefully rubbed in by hand. This is a natural finish which offers a very high level of protection and a low gloss finish. Any spillages simply require a wipe with a warm damp cloth as soon as possible.

  • Being a natural material, variations in the tones of the wood and the grain patterns are to be expected. This is one of the many benefits of solid wood furniture, making your piece completely unique to you.

  • As this piece is free standing there are no fitting instructions. Felt pads will be provided for floor protection.
