The Chatsworth Bench is a supremely comfortable and useful piece of furniture. Not only does the Boucle Wool from the Isle of Bute make it wonderfully inviting to sit on, but the storage inside makes it a useful piece for almost every room in the house.

The sublime Beech wood used was grown and felled on the Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire. Much lighter in colour than normal Beech, it shimmers in the sun and is full of the history of the grounds it grew upon.

The lid is fitted with hand chiselled Brusso brass hinges, the highest quality you can buy. They are fitted with a stop which allows the door to stay safely open.

The plentiful storage allows room for boots and shoes in a hallway, boardgames and toys in a living room, or bedding and clothing in a bedroom. The bench is treated with a hard wearing lacquer which offers superior protection.

  • this piece in entirelly customisable. The p[iece photographed is 60CM W X 45CM H X 40CM D. This can be considered an ample one seater.

  • Each piece is protected using a hard wax oil that is carefully rubbed in by hand. This is a natural finish which offers a very high level of protection and a low gloss finish. Any spillages simply require a wipe with a warm damp cloth as soon as possible.

  • Being a natural material, variations in the tones of the wood and the grain patterns are to be expected. This is one of the many benefits of solid wood furniture, making your piece completely unique to you.

  • As this piece is free standing there are no fitting instructions. Felt pads will be provided for floor protection.
